The Kaliente Pro, the racing tire that Kenda developed in conjunction with an elite UCI Professional road racing team. Producing the absolute lightest tire wasn’t our ambition. Instead, we set out to create a tire that was race ready in weight and had puncture protection running from bead-t-bead. We used our Iron Cloak puncture protection under our R2C compound which increased the flat protection and longevity, while still offering great handling characteristics.

IRON CLOAK BELT (ICB)
A breaker of one of Kenda’s best puncture resistant materials, Iron Cloak, is built in directly underneath the tread rubber only, for protection and minimal weight. Iron Cloak Belt lets you rest assured that your tires are durable, but light and super supple for the ultimate in riding performance.
R2C (R2C)
Kenda’s road-specific dual compound blends traction and speed. R2C tires contain rubber with two different Shore-A measurements, the center compound is 70sA, for rolling speed, while the shoulders utilize a tacky 60sA compound for increased confidence in corners. Compared to R3C it is lighter but has a slightly higher rolling resistance.

Best for Dry Pavement.
WET PAVEMENT (WP)
Best for Wet Pavement.
